PRESIDENT’S REPORT
For the second year in a row the Judiciary Committee of the Alabama Senate failed to act upon HB52. The bill would have dropped the requirement to include your trapping license number on your trap tag. In my opinion, the only way we will get this change is to have a sponsor in the Senate. I need your help in finding a Senator that is willing to be our advocate.
The 2010 Fall Rendezvous is scheduled for Sept. 24 & 25, 2010 at Fosters, AL. Please check the ATPCA website at www.atpca.org for current details. Current members will receive a flyer on the event in early September. A Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Friday evening at 7 p.m. As usual, Friday is the set up day. On Saturday there will be demos in the morning, followed by a BBQ Lunch, annual membership meeting, auction and raffle drawing. Please mark your calendar and plan on attending the festivities on Saturday Sept. 25, 2010. Admission is free. The officer positions of President and Treasurer are up for election for a two year term.
