PRESIDENT’S REPORT

By the time you get this article, another trapping season will have started in Alabama. Please be careful and have a safe and prosperous season. Also, take a young person trapping you will enjoy the experience more than they will.

I would like to thank the following people for their hard work to insure the success of our fall rendezvous: Bob Crane, Mike Flohr, Steve Phillips, Mike and Vicki Sievering and Jackie Malone. The next time you see any of these individuals, please thank them for their continuing support of the ATPCA.

The tentative dates and locations for our 2013 meetings are March 16, 2013 at Steve Phillips house. NAFA will be picking up fur on this date. The fall rendezvous will be on September 14, 2013 at Fosters, Alabama. As I have stated in the past, if you would like to see either of these meetings in your part of the state please let me know by finding a meeting place and costs associated with the facility.

At the 2012 rendezvous I was reelected president and Mike Flohr the recording secretary. The membership voted to provide financial support to the NTA and FBU at the same levels as we did in 2012. I have received written correspondence from both organizations thank the ATPCA for our support.

The schedule for the 2012-2013 Cooperative Trapper Education Workshops is posted on the ATPCA website: www.atpca.org, please review the schedule and take some time and volunteer to help as a mentor. Call Mike Sievering at (205) 339-5716 and let him know when you can help.

When you receive your renewal notice for the T&PC, please mail the two copies of the renewal notice along with your payment to Vickie Sievering , 291 Elam School House Road, Brent, AL 35034-2628, as soon as you receive it. If you procrastinate, you could miss an issue of the magazine.

Sylvia and I would like to wish you and yours a happy Holiday season and a healthy and prosperous New Year. — Charlie Rath
