PRESIDENT’S REPORT

By the time this issue of the T&PC reaches your mail box, the Alabama trapping season will be about half over. I hope the season has been good for you and that your stretchers are full. Remember Alabama Regulation 220-2-.32 requires that each trapper report their harvest by number and species to the DCNR within 45 days after the close of the season. You can obtain a copy of the form at www.outdooralabama.com.

The 2009 Spring ATCPA meeting will be held at Steve Phillips house in Cottonville, AL on Saturday March 28, 2009. Current members will be getting a flyer around the end of February. I will also be reporting more details in future reports in the T&PC. NAFA will be picking up your fur shipment.

ATPCA membership renewal notice, please do not hold your renewal notice to the T&PC when you receive it in the mail. By necessity, the T&PC magazine gives associations a monthly deadline to have magazine subscription information returned so they can mail out the T&PC in a timely manner. Remember, Mike needs the information by the 10th of the month so he has time to process the material and get it mailed back to the publisher. This is the only way you can keep from missing the next issue of the T&PC.’

In closing, Sylvia and I would like to wish you and yours a healthy, happy and prosperous 2009. Americans are a resilient people and better economic times will return.

Be safe on the trapline.

— Charlie Rath
