PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Hello Trappers,

Our summer convention went off without any major loss of sanity, hair, or fur. The focus was on fur prep and getting the highest average possible out of your fur. This has been a concern of mine for some years now and hope that we see even more amazingly put up fur at our 2013 fur sale.

First a huge thanks to Jeff Carpenter, Brent Parker, Ron Day and Tyler Higgins for giving us some excellent demos and presentations! The amount of fur that these four have trapped or called in is truly amazing. Excellent information from a group that is getting it done and not just talking about it. Thank you!

Camo contest, calling contest

Thank you to Ms. Teen Rodeo Arizona

A huge thank you to the Copper Bistro for providing the food.

I would also like to thank Ketch-All catchpoles, AJI Sporting Goods, TNT Recycling, Hevi-Shot, Tony Nester from Ancient Pathways, and of course Montgomery Fur for the product donations for the price table.

The fur season is quickly approaching and will be on us in no time. And it is looking like the fur market is still holding strong. The time for planning is now. Make sure you are getting your supplies, truck, and equipment ordered early. — Scott Trowbridge
