Hello trappers,

I didn’t get a letter out last month as long work days and out of town some times and I don’t take this thing with me. When I go to the hills there is no internet. Things here are getting sticky and moving fast. Ried and Mercer have been working real hard on this bobcat bill, AB1213 day and night. It is heard one day and less than 2 weeks it is up again by time you read this it will have gone to about 4 or 5 more meetings and get cut down again. Our legislative advocate lynch@associates have done a great, great job of working on this with us. Letters from chamber of commerce, cattle’s association, California Houndsmen Association and other groups fighting for us. As for the lawsuit, it is at a stand still as of right now when I get all the info will pass it on to you. Don’t have anymore than that right now.

Deer seasons will be ready to go soon so while you deer hunt keep an eye out for fur the trap line. Some places have a lot of fur out there, around here where I live there has been a lot of road kill coon this year. I think I will hit on them hard this year. Can’t keep them off the back porch. Going to have to put a door on it, for last 20 years did not need one

Well that is it for now. Hope all you have a good summer. — John
