SECRETARY/TREASURER’S REPORT
Trust you are having a good summer. Plans are being made for our annual Labor Day Weekend Rendezvous, August 31 to September 3. It will be held in the scenic northwest part of the state, at the top of Cottonwood Pass, off County Road 55 between Granby and Hot Sulfur Springs. Detailed directions will be included in the next issue and on our website. Plan to join us for great camaraderie, instructional demonstrations and fun mountain man/trapping contests.
For those of you who have called or written for a CTA patch, a few of them were found and are for sale at $3.50 each. Write soon if you want one to complete your collection! — Cheryl Oleyar
AUCTION MANAGER’S REPORT
Another fur season has come and gone, and I hope everybody had a successfull season. I would like to thank all the buyers and sellers who were at at the fur auction this year. Your participation every year at this sale is very much appriciated. I would also like to say a special thank you to all of you who took time away from your schedules to help the week of the auction. Without all of your help and support I really don’t know how this auction would run so smoothly! Thanks again.
The fur at this years auction sold very well, and everyone that I have talked to have been pleased with the prices of their fur. The prices that some fur brought we haven’t seen for quite a few years, and I hope it will continue into next season as well. Most of the fur brought at or above the price of last years sale. Coyotes were a big suprise with a few selling for over $100.00. Bobcats sold well with some of heavy western cats selling for over $700.00. Below is a breakout of all the fur that was sold. I hope to see everyone at the fur auction next season and as always if you have any questions about the auction feel free to send me an e-mail or give me a call. Thanks again for the support.
