SECRETARY’S REPORT
I will be including the minutes from our February 10 membership meeting in the next issue. And we should know the location of the 2013 Rendezvous by then. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who worked to make the fur sale a success. Hopefully fur sellers and buyers are happy with the outcome.
We extend a warm welcome to these new members: David & June Berry from Cowdrey; Danny Chess from Canon City; Jim McElley from Whitewater; Jake, Dolly and Len Rickerman from Monument; and Dan and Jamie Shepherd from Pueblo West. We hope to meet you all in the near future or at the Rendezvous on Labor Day weekend! — Cheryl Oleyar
NATIONAL WESTERN STOCK SHOW REPORT
If you have never been to the C.T.A. booth at the National Western Stock Show, you are missing an unbelievable 40-foot booth packed with tanned fur, manufactured fur items and mounted furbearers. The most interesting booth at the stock show. All C.T.A. members are welcome to sell their tanned and finished items at this booth. This is our yearly fundraiser for the Bill Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are available for C.T.A. members and others. This booth also funds the fur coat for Miss Rodeo Colorado each year. C.T.A. members who volunteer at the booth get free parking and free entry into the stock show. Thank you to all the excellent help we had this year, especially Gary Crawford, Gary Turcotte and his wife Kay, Steve Yarrish, Dean, Dick Calfee, Tom Schmidt and his daughter Erin, Brandon, Millie, Gerry, Claude Oleyar, Nancy Bee, Jeff, Ted, Monte, Susan and Ryan. — Dan, Bruce and Jim
