The meeting was called to order at 5:05, Aug 19, 2012, by President Bill Howe.

The 50/50 was won by Shirley Howe and the lure donated by John Hahn was won by Russ Bossard.

Remember: The Rendezvous is Sept 9th and after a short discussion the dinner is scheduled for Sept 16. Money will be collected at the Rendezvous. Dale Beckwith has made up the flyers for the event so take them and pass them out. The roof has been replaced on the Trapper Shack and Les had pictures of the work crew and the results. Nice job was done by all.

Bill went over the furs he purchased for us and showed them to the members. Thanks Bill. Club authorized bill to purchase more if they are available. Bill had four different types of fur mounted on hoops that we could purchase to sell. Discussion on price and quality of furs available to us and it seems that we got a pretty good deal. Club decided to buy Coyote and red fox on the hoop display.

Discussion was held on the Rendezvous schedule of events and everything looks good to go. Al will not be here this year, he is stuck bear hunting. Discussion on advertising or lack of it. Art sent it to the T&PC and Grassroots News from the Council. Maybe Mr. Purdy can get it In the Pennysaver News for us.

More talk about the Solon Club and their troubles. No meeting this month.

Treasurer’s report was accepted as given. Club is in decent shape and Treasurer will pay all bills.

Butch and Dale have a training course scheduled for Sept 8.

Les Wedge reported on the NYSTA Board meeting held on July 21.

Hugh McDonald says he is all talked out. Turns out that is not entirely true. Hugh has the crock pot going so be nice to him.

John Slocum thanked all who worked on roof in Marathon. John noted that we should get to the Rendezvous about 8:00am to set it up.

Motion to adjourn carried at 6:15pm.

Respectfully submitted. — Art Manz
