SECRETARY’S REPORT

The meeting was called to order by President Howe at 5:15pm, July 15, 2012.The 50/50 was won by Art and the lure donated by J Hahn was won by Rich Beckwith.

Dale Beckwith and Bill Howe turned in gun raffle ticket money and Bill noted that plenty of tickets are left to sell. Raffle tickets from Solon are also available. Bill went over some of the changes being made by the Solon Club to try and save their Club. Discussion followed. Treasurer’s report was accepted as given.

Hugh will bring the food for August and will also do a demo for us

Russ Bossard discussed the Fur Rondi, with a lot of stuff on the Muskrat, which also happened to be Les Wedge’s fur bearer of the month in the newsletter.

Les Wedge discussed the newsletter and hoped everyone liked the muskrat piece. Nice work Les. Discussion on the trapper shack roof followed. Les has an interesting piece of first aid that maybe all should carry. It is called Quick Clot Sport and it is supposed to help your blood clot fast. Would not take up much space in your basket either.

Al Martak discussed the Trapper Convention in Pa. Good attendance and lots to see and do.

Dale Beckwith will get the Rendezvous flyers done. Just has to change the date and note the value of the pack basket.

John Slocum finished the discussion on the shack roof. Final note. Roof will be fixed on Sunday July 22 at 8:00am. Les, Greg, John, Hugh and any other fine folk available will be there.

Bill did a demo on his cable restraint devices and his tip up modification on his beaver trap. Pretty neat. Meeting adjourned at 5:55pm

Shirley Howe outdid herself again and all enjoyed the grub

Respectfully submitted. — Art Manz
