S.E. DIRECTOR’S REPORT

Another bad trapping incident occurred in northern Idaho. #330s set on land caught and killed two dogs. What’s the answer, guys? Every year, we have stupid people setting traps that are going to eliminate what you like to do.

Should we push for mandatory trapper education? Let’s control this dialog. Contact Pat at IdahoTrappers.com or call him at (208) 599-5009. We need your help.

One of the downsides of Idaho Fish and Game taking over wolf management is that the feds have pulled 742,000 from Idaho’s U.S.D.A. budget, which results in a loss of employees. That state has a task force trying to come up with money for management of our new large predatory animals. So far, the proposals are for you and me and the cattlemen to pick up the tab through increased fees.

Get your friends to join the ITA. — Bruce Bartow
