Summer is finally here and that means it is convention time. The FTA was in Arkansas and had a good turnout. The NTA is at the end of July in Lima, Ohio. It should be a great time. Be sure to attend. There are several trapper’s ed classes all over Indiana. To check the dates and times, look these up on our Web site at indianastatetrappers.org.
September is election time. We need members to step up and take over these positions. President, secretary, director and FTA director are all up for re-election. We need your help.
— Ron Elliott
July 15 is our cutoff for the size of our fall newsletter, but we might be able to squeeze a story from you in it if you will send one to me or Amy Crum by Aug. 1. Recipes are also wanted.
Thanks to the help from my wife, we have sent out over 200 letters to past members asking for their consideration on renewing memberships.
Plans are falling into place for the September convention with a good number of venders already lined up and some good demos. Hope to see some of you at the NTA convention in Lima.

NTA DIRECTOR’S REPORT
NTA President Katz has a great program put together to monitor the National Wildlife Refuges Conservation Planning and if you have any interest in a refuge near you, please look into when they do their planning. Right now the plans for some in Indiana are being worked on. If you have questions, please let me know.
The ISTA Board of Directors has decided to hold a fundraising banquet in cooperation with FBU. This will be held Feb. 27, 2010 at the Outpost in Lafayette. I am the chairman and sure would appreciate some help from any number of you members.
I will be in Lima at the NTA convention all week and if you have any concerns to bring up, please call me.
