PRESIDENT’S REPORT

District 8 met in December with five members attending. We were very pleased to have Anita Moore make it to our meeting. She normally has classes on our meeting date.

Fur prices or rather lack of fur prices were discussed. Only Donald Moore had sold any fur so far. Several of us still intend to trap, regardless of the money incentive. We understand that our trapping brothers on the western shore of Maryland are catching more coyotes each year. Way to go — trap them hard. We still only have an occasional report of them hear on the eastern shore. And we are glad of it.

District 8 hopes to read reports from other districts. We would like to know how your trapping is going, what happened with your district elections, etc.

District 8 wants to thank Bob and Verna Calloway for their hospitality in allowing us to hold our meeting at their home. Better hosts could not be found.

District 8 encourages visitors and would like for all interested to come and participate in our meetings.

District 8 meets the fourth Tuesday of each month during trapping season. We start at 7 p.m. at the home of Bob Calloway at 14313 Cherry Lane, near Tuckahoe State Park, between Ridgely and Centreville. Call Bob at 410-634-2501 for further directions.
