I want to report on our enemies’ activities in the Flathead. There have been two presentations. The first was on Feb. 6 in Kalispell and the other the 13th in Whitefish.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THESE FOLKS. Their presenter is a doctor out of Missoula who is both very intelligent and articulate. He says up front that it is not his goal to mislead anyone and admits that the verbiage on the slides in his slide show do not necessarily match the photos in the slides. Then he takes off in a very slick effort to mislead everyone using both. Fortunately, we (MFCA members) nearly outnumbered the unaffiliated public in Kalispell and we were able to point out some of the problems with the presentation. If my count was right, there were nine anti’s, three of us and four or five public. I did not attend Whitefish, but heard it was a little better attended.

Some of these people are rabid in their views and even if they do not offer physical harm, they are not shy about wishing it on you.

We are our own worst enemies. They monitor our forums and search for bad photos and verbiage to use against us. Please, police yourselves.
Hope you have a great spring rat and beaver season and good by until next month.

— Rick Hawk
