Greetings from Kalispell. The Family Forestry Expo went off with out a hitch. The furs were well fondled and the traps much examined. Two of us ended the day with sore hands from having them snapped in traps all day. There is no demonstration quite so effective as putting your hand in a big old # 3 or even a 1 1/2 and setting it off. No broken bones to be found and the fingers still wiggle. And, since we did it on purpose, not even any bad words. Our 1st guide school class of the year is also in the books as well received.

I was recently in the hi-line area and read a pro I-160 letter in the Great Falls Tribune. I responded to that letter, but it made me wonder how many are not getting responses because I do not see them. So, If any one out there sees a letter but does not feel comfortable in responding, please clip it and send it to me or fax it to me (406-755-4611) and I will see that the truth is told. I want to end by thanking everyone for their support and to wish everyone good health and good fishing.

— Rick Hawk
