DIRECTOR’S REPORT
Hello fellow sportsmen and women, As I write this we are getting a one day break from the snow and the land trapping season starts in two days. Can it get any better than this? Trappers, hound hunters and predator callers should all be able to look forward to great times. The Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks Dept. has revised the trapping fact sheet found on the web site.

This revision is well done and addresses a lot of issues that the anti’s were misrepresenting during their last effort to ban trapping in Montana. It will provide anyone with the ability to counter most of the false material that was presented as fact. The department was in a bind during the initiative process because by law they can not take a stand on political issues. I think they have done a great job in recognizing the misrepresentations and addressing them so quickly.

All sportsmen, and especially trappers should give the department a big THANK YOU.

— Rick Hawk
