DIRECTOR’S REPORT

As you all know, this is a slow time for trappers. my equipment is ready and I am ready but time still needs to pass. MFCA did have a summer picnic at Logan State Park. It was lightly attended but all who did come had an enjoyable time and good picnic food. I went to Lewistown to the MTA gathering.

I was only there on Saturday for part of the day but did get to visit and purchase some supplies. I traveled from Kalispell to Great Falls, Great Falls to Lewistown, Lewistown North and then through Denton to Fort Benton and Fort Benton to Great Falls and back to Kalispell. In that whole trip I saw not one pheasant.

I saw less than ten mule deer and fewer than two dozen antelope. In fact I saw as many coyotes as I did antelope bucks. Those coyotes were big and would look good on a stretcher.
