FUR MANAGER’S REPORT
The Nevada Trappers Association will be holding its fur sale on Feb. 26, 27 and 28 at the Fallon, NV Convention Center. At this time, we are still scheduling it to be held on each of the three days, however, if fur consignments are below normal, we will just have a two-day sale. With a shorter ’cat season this year and anticipated lower prices on all species, the harvest might be drastically lower. Make sure you call me early to make reservations. Just like in the past, the Fish and Game will be tagging at each day of the sale.
One additional request I would like to make of anyone catching a red fox in Nevada is to freeze the skinned out fox and then let me know. We will get it to the researcher who is doing some DNA work. Any specimens from western Nevada are really needed.
