A badger snuck in the front door of the Fresca Waterhouse in Sparks, Nev. on Tuesday afternoon and started a one-hour standoff.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife came to the scene and fired a tranquilizer dart at the badger but missed, according to Chris Healy of the NDOW in a Reno Gazette Journal story.
Animal control officers then put out a live trap inside the front door that they baited with an open can of cat food. The young badger was caught soon after the trap was set. It was released back into the wild.
The Fresca Waterhouse is a store where customers can have water bottles refilled. Maybe the badger was just thirsty?
