Hi Everyone, I am typing this on the last day of our season, for the most part all the people I have talked to this year did well. Their were a few exceptions in the tilde waters where the hurricane really did a lot of damage on the coast. A few people even said that they found lots of dead/drowned muskrats washed high up on the banks. Hopefully populations will rebound next year. Please go over all your equipment and check for not only things you might need to replace, (damaged or worn) but things that you might think are missing. Now I’m sure you all keep good records on where your sets are, and you pulling all your traps today (3-15th), but if you think you might be missing something, go over your route and check again. We don’t want anything left out there.

Convention season is right around the corner, and with the nice fur prices we have been seeing you are going to have to load up on more stuff for next season, lots of us convoy to some of these shows, and we will post when and where we are going to go. Also keep an eye out for events like, the BBQ, meetings, and Demo’s we will be doing or going to.

There are a few things we are doing here legislatively in this state to improve trapping here for us and we might need your help ? The web site to watch is and our Facebook page, which by the way has been a tremendous way for instant communication. We also now have a link to the new NJTA web page, check it out. We support them and they support us, because we are all in this together. Sorry for the short report, I have to put up the rest of my fur. Any questions give me a call 908-783-3090. — Ron
