PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Hi, all.

Hope every one is filling up their stretchers. Most of the people I have talked to though are having a tough time with all the ice and snow. Here in central jersey, the ice is just not thick enough to walk on, and the snow is too deep to get to some spots. It would be nice if the state could extend the beaver season a little a lot of people I talked to have not been able to get out yet. (I included) and as I write this it is the last week of Jan.

Everyone mark your calendar. Sunday March 20th will be our spring meeting and fur collection for NAFA. It will be held at the light house center for natural resource education, in Waretown, NJ. You can get directions at www.experiencebarnegtbay.org or (GPS) 7th and Navajo in Waretown. NJ. We are also going to have more detailed directions in the news letter. There are lots of signs for this place and I will put out our signs that will say NJFH with an arrow on them, so you should not have a problem. Don’t forget you can always call me if you need help.

If you don’t think you are going to make the meeting but still want to ship your fur you can call me or one of the other officers and we can get someone to meet you somehow to pick up your fur.

We have a lot of business to go over at this meeting. We have to discuss having more board meetings, summer BBQ, Other summer and fall events that the organization would like to attend, and a few more officer positions to fill as well as moving others around. We are also going to have a couple guest speakers. So bring your good ideas and questions.

The club will be having donuts and coffee first thing and then lunch around noon. If anyone would like to bring a dish for others to try, you’re more than welcome. We always have a good time when we get together so plan to stay, I would like to see you all there! I am trying to keep this short so I will see you at the meeting.

( TIP ) When your snaring fox and you see a log on the ground higher than the snow, set the log, they like to walk above the snow and they can see more.

— Ron Diehl
