PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Hi too all,
I hope you all had a good summer and you’re all getting ready for this up coming season. By the time you get this we will be having our last 2 trappers Ed classes on the weekend of Oct 27th & 28th. The next weekend, Sunday Nov 4th will be our annual convention. It will be in the same place as last year. Atzion Lake on rt206 in Wharton state forest. Right at the beach area, 7 miles north of Hammonton NJ, rain or shine! Don’t worry we have a place to go if it does rain under the pavilion. It will be from 9am to 3pm. We will be having skinning and trapping demo’s going on all day, plenty of venders to get all your supplies and our famous auction. If you have something at home that you don’t think you’re going to use anymore and would like to donate it for the auction bring it down. All proceeds go to keeping the club going. If you would like to come and tailgate and try to sell some of your wears by all means do, it is all FREE!!!! If you would like to do a demo and show your fellow trappers a new way of doing things just give me a call and I will put you in the rotation.
Now, I went to the Fish & Game council meeting in Aug. and listened to the new game code proposals for the 2013-2014 season, and I must say we are moving forward, they are moving around some beaver permits around and adding some otter tags to some zones, we are getting another cable size so we can use the collerum, I am also going to the Oct meeting to give a demo to the council on the DP trap we have been pushing. By the time you read this I should have had that meeting, so stop by my table and ask me about it.
Well I am going to make this short cause I have to take inventory of my stuff and see what I need to pick up at the convention. If you know someone who would like to get into trapping, bring them along there is always a lot to learn and the NJFH convention it the place.
See you there. — Ron Diehl
