PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Hi everyone, hope all is good. It seems like the 2nd half of the summer is flying by. When you are reading this we would have had our convention meeting and the 1st of the Trapper Education classes.

Our Convention will be Sunday, Nov.6. Same place as last year, Atsion Lake on rt206 worton state forest. 7 miles north of Hammonton. We will also send out a news letter with all the details. We should also have the NEW web site up and running, all comments and ideas are welcome in the construction processes of our new web site. (njfurharvesters.com).

I would also like for anyone who knows how to make something good to eat and would like to share a recipe, Please email or send me a letter with you name address, contact info and recipe, so we can put it in our cook book coming out soon. Their will be a few other trappers Ed classes in Oct, so if you know anyone who wants to take the class check out the F&G site and sign up. If is says full don’t worry we take all walk ins.

Don’t forget to check all your trapping supply’s, so you know what you need for the convention. If there are things you aren’t going to use you could donate them to the auction, and if you have a lot of stuff you can set up and tailgate, the more the merrier. We could also use help at the convention so if you could help out just let me know. Sorry I am jumping around so much that is how it is coming to me. Any questions e-mail me or give me a call. See you later. Ron

P.S. TIP: Keep your wet and dry fur separate in the back of your truck, I use a plastic bread rack to put my wet fur on so air can circulate around the animal and dry it while I am driving around, checking sets.

— Ron Diehl
