PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Well the convention is over. We had a great turn out. All the dealers I spoke to had done very well. Some of them sold out on certain snares. All said they did very well. Remember, without the dealers the convention would not exist. Support them afterwards when you need supplies.

A special thanks goes out to the Space Family. Not only for the use of the property, but also for the help when the meat would not cook. I have no idea what happened. All I know is that the meat was put on to cook at midnight, and at noon the pork was only 140 degrees. Fred Space felt that the low pressure from the storm the night before may have held the heat down. I have no idea. Thank you to the Space’s for the use of the microwave ovens to finish the cooking process. This was the largest turnout at our convention in a lot of years.

Remember the special patches for our 50th anniversary will only be on sale until Dec 31, 2011. After that any left will be destroyed. They are only $9.00, so order yours now.

While we are on the fur sale, remember we accept fur on Sat only. Also this year due to the confusion last year, we will only be mailing the checks. All checks will be in the mail no latter than Wednesday. This will give the dealers checks time to clear before anyone tries to cash their check.

That is enough for now, I leave for the Adirondacks in a few days. Remember, take a kid with you, they are our future. — Jim DeStephano
