REPORT

Well this different. For the first time in a lot of years I am writing this report as a regular member instead of as an officer. At this year’s meeting, there were several changes in the officers. Tom Mulea has been elected president. No one has done more for the trappers in this state than Tom. His dedication to the NJTA has never wavered. That was why I was proud to support Tom for president. It is a given he will continue to do all he can for the trappers of NJ. After the meeting this Sunday, I will send a new list of officers for the T&PC to list.

Remember we meet every month. All members are welcome to attend the meetings. Call me at 973-697-2981 or Tom at 908-453-2922 for directions. We will be going back to rotating meeting locations. It was too much to ask for one family to host the meeting every month. We all thank Bill & Linda for putting up with the mess and confusion each month for the last several years.

All the members of the N J T A wish Fred Stine and Darleen the best in their new home in Tenn. Fred has been a true freind of all trappers in N J. We will miss him!

Watch this column for the date of our next fur sale. There is some confusion due to the Holidays and the opening of the rebuilt building at the Pequest Hatchery. We have always been one of the prime attractions at the open house , and we do not want to miss it this year. However it will be held at Space Farms as always. We can not find a better host than the Space Family.

That is enough for this month. Remember be safe, have fun, and take a kid with you. They are our future. — Jim Destephano
