VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Greetings fellow NC trappers,

By the time you read this report, trapping season will be in across the state. I am still gathering info on the convention, so I’ll leave that for next month. We have a BOD meeting next week and I’ll get all the details from our secretary at that time.

At the time of this writing, I am waiting for a date to be set for our focus group meetings to discuss the fox issue with all other interested stakeholders. Once we get these meetings out of the way, there should be no other obstacles in our path. Heres hoping.

With our seasons underway, I hope that you veteran trappers will take a youngster or novice trapper along with you on your line. We need to get more young people interested in our sport if we are going to keep our sport alive and growing. Sharing a little of your time and knowledge can go a long way. I would also urge you youngsters and novice trappers to utilize our website. Ask questions and talk about your trapping experiences.

That’s about all I have for now. I hope that you have a safe and happy trapping season and holiday season. — Tony W. White
