PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Hello fellow NC trappers, I hope this report finds you doing well. Our trapping season is well under way and I hope you are having a good one. Trappers wait all year for this and we tend to burn ourselves out if we are not careful. Long days checking traps around your work or school schedule and long nights in the fur shed can really take a toll on you. Make sure to pace yourself and save some time for family and other activities.

I want to remind you that we are still signing up students for our 3 day advanced trapping course on May 17,18,and 19th, 2013. This is a hands on course with instruction on a real working trapline and is well worth the price. Details are available on our website and the NCWRC website.

We will once again be set up at the Dixie Deer Classic March 1,2,&3rd at the NC state fairgrounds. Please stop by our booth and visit a while and we might even put you to work selling raffle tickets.

That’s about all I have for this time, I hope your season goes well and please take a youngster with you on the line if you can. It will be time well spent. — Tony W. White
