PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Hello All::

We have just returned from The NTA National Convention in Owatonna,Minnesota. There was a huge crowd and was scattered over a large area with six buildings and about 400 tailgaters. You could find anything you would want or need.

Darrell Woodward (NTA director) made all of the meetings and dinners and auctions and talked to a lot of dealers. He has a lot of donations for the auctions and the youth camp. It was a tiring and a long week for all.

Noel Carruthers,Jeb Hollingshead, Terry Thornton and Dub Shankles from Arkansas also attended the NTA Convention.

There were a lot of good people as trappers are always friendly. There were a lot of good Demo’s with standing room only at the demo’s.

Sept 8 some of the youth camp instructors will meet at Glenda Walls place start preparing for the Dec 27-28 youth camp.

Don’t forget the Wildlife Expo at the Lazy-E Arena near Guthrie on Sept 28-29-30. There will be a lot to see and do. I hope all can attend and maybe stop by the OFBA Booth out by the fishing pond and lend a hand. It is good to inform people especially children the reason for trapping.

The directors meetingwill be on Oct 12 at 6 PM at the Okfuskee Fairgrounds in Okemah all are welcome, plus set up for the fall meeting Sat Oct 13 starting at 8 :00 AM.

Everyone needs to visit the OFBA website and voice their opinion and comments on the message board. There are some good comments and pictures there. The Home page has the events listed and contacts for the officers and directors.
