PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Hello All From Hot!!!! Southern Okla,
I am sorry the last issue did not include my newsletter as I sent it in on June 26 in plenty of time, I guess it got lost in the heat. I’ll try to let you know the news you missed out on.
Good news John Weygandt met with Mark Alexander and have updated the web site, Take a look and let us know what you think??
Remember we will have a booth at the Wildlife Expo on Sept 28 thru 30 at the Lazy E Arena at Gutherie off of I-35 North.There will be signs on I-35just follow directions.
Our booth will be out by the fishing pond so come by and visit and help if able. All help appreciated. You will enjoy visiting with the people and informing them of the reason for trapping and helping them identify the furs and skulls and the traps and explain to them that they aren’t that as bad as some think.
The fall meeting is coming up soon. It will be on Saturday Oct. 13, 2012 in Okemah at the fairgrounds. There will be demo’s and I hope there are people (men– Women or youth) out there who want to share a demo with others. Everyone has a different idea and it will help to get different ideas out to everyone. If you have something to share even if you think it isn’t much it will help someone. We need your help. Sterlen Kirschman with NAFA will be doing a skinning and stretching demo most of the day.
The business meeting will start at 8:30 AM to get that out of the way so we can get on with the business of trapping. We will be voting on changing to the Trappers Post for our magazine for the organization.
Fundraiser for the youth camp will be a Savage Axis –22-250 with a 3×9 scope.
This has been good weather to wax dirt for trapping this winter when it gets wet and cold to keep your traps working. I hope all are getting ready and getting their wants down for bait and supplies to buy at the meeing.
