Popular Trapping Forum Trapperman.com Hacked

Trapperman.com LogoMany trappers have no doubt noticed the popular trapping forum Trapperman.com is down. The owner of the website, Paul Dobbins, has confirmed with Trapper & Predator Caller that the site was hacked.

“We got hacked and the hacker took the server down,” Dobbins wrote in an email earlier today. “Our host is moving the site to a more secure server and we hope to be up and running in the next couple of days.”

UPDATE (5/31/12):  The site will most likely be offline until early next week. Nothing was lost and users will not need to re-register when the site goes live again. Upgrades are being made to make sure it’s more difficult for something like this to happen again in the future.

If there are any other developments, we’ll make another post on the blog here.

    • Usually the reason Paul boots/axes people is because they do something they shouldn’t have and it was severe enough that those people should have known better. You can trust Paul was doing the right thing if he axed someone.

  4. Maybe ppl who get kicked off shouldnt break the rules and they wouldnt get kicked off thats a no brainer lol cant wait for the site to get back up and runnin
