PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Greetings,

By the time you read this the convention will likely be over and trapping season will be soon to start. I would like to start by thanking everyone for attending our Fall Rendezvous. I hope everyone had a good time, learned a few new tricks, stocked up on supplies and is ready to start trapping. I would especially like to thank those who helped plan and run the convention, the dealers, and those who helped by doing demos. Your support and assistance is greatly appreciated, because if it wasn’t for your help, we wouldn’t be able to have our conventions.

The SDTA donated a set of wild furs to the Outdoor Campus West in Rapid City for educational purposes. They in return, created a stone with our logo and mission to be hung at the campus. They will also be having a get together with the governor at the end of September which we are invited to attend. This will give us some great exposure at a plethora of educational events in the future. Again, thank you to those who donated to the tanned fur program, it was those donations, that make activities such as this possible.
I wish you all the best of luck this fall.

— Anna Hermanson
