PRESIDENT’S REPORT
MAY
Fellow trappers,
I hope everyone is doing well during this mild spring. This spring has been a surprise because of the early hot weather.
I want to thank everyone who helped during the TFTA fur sales at Waverly and Alexandria. Without everyone’s help and pitching in, the sales would not have operated so well.
TFTA SPRING MEET: The spring meet has been set for may 12, 2012 at Cedars of Lebanon State Park. Try to attend and and fellowship with other trappers and maybe learn from or teach someone something new. The spring meeting will be held at the Cedars of Lebanon State Park on Saturday may 12, 2012. This meeting will be held rain or shine beginning at 9:00 am CDT at Shelter #1. As always, tailgaters or trapping supply dealers are welcome. The TFTA will be providing hamburgers and hot dogs at no cost. We will be grilling there at the shelter. Please bring a side dish or desert if possible. Coffee and cold drinks will be provided by the TFTA at no cost. Please bring a donation item for our fund raising auction if possible. We will be having some trapping and snaring demos also.
DIRECTIONS: To get there from Nashville, take I-40 East, Exit 232 A (Hwy 109 South, Gallatin). Go right. Continue on Hwy. 109 for 3.7 miles, continue on Hwy. 265 S. (Central Pike) for 4.6 miles. Turn right on to Hwy. 231 (TN-10 Murfreesboro Rd) for .6 miles. Turn left on to Cedar Forest Rd. There will be TFTA signs pointing the way.
Dont forget the National Conventions that are set for this summer. The Southeastern NTA is in Arkansas. The FTA National is in Evansville, Indiana.
We are also looking for a place for a Fall Meet. If you know of a place, please let an officer of the association know.
Thanks. — Mark Griffith
