PRESIDENT’S REPORT
I hope everyone is doing well and are chomping at the bits for trapping season to begin. By now, everyone should almost have all of their pre-season preparations completed. But if you’re like me, you might still have a few small things to get done.
The TFTA had a booth at the Warren County A&L Fair. In my estimation, it was a big success. Jerry Scott, Perry Reed, and I talked to a few hundred people. Many were surprised to find that there still was a trapping industry. Some thanked us for what we do, like the lady whose daughter was bitten by a rabid skunk. We’ve heard lots of complaints from farmers and nursery stock owners about the damage caused by beavers and coyotes.
I would like to thank Rhonda, Amber, and Abigail Scott for their help in painting and setting up the booth.
Good luck in the coming trapping season. We will soon have the dates of the Association’s fur sales.
Until next report. — Mark Griffith
