Congratulations to all the winners of the Certificates and the Rocky Top hats, you should be receiving those shortly. I don’t have all the names right now to list them but they will be up on the website as soon as I receive the information. I want to thank everyone for all the hard work and the effort that you all put in at the Fur Sales and also at the Hiwassee Trapper Training camp. If it wasn’t for you none of the things TFHA wants to do would be possible. And while I’m on that note, if there is any one that wants to set up a booth or to help at one please let John Daniel or myself know and we will do everything we can to help you. If anyone needs to contact me you can do so at jlord2003@aol.com or 731 614-2531 and of course through the website but this time of year I don’t have much time to sit at a computer with everything going on, so a phone call will be much faster. Our website address is tfhaonline.net I hope everyone has a great and safe summer and I hope to see you soon. — James Lord

Attacks against trapping are popping up all across the country. These attacks are coming in many different forms and levels. The NTA has been monitoring these situations closely, and preparing to take action where action is needed. The NTA is only as strong as its members. Tenn. became known as the volunteer state by responding in time of emergency. In the case of our trapping future this one of those times. Out comes in other states can and will affect

us here in our state. So lets show some of that volunteer spirit and join the NTA in its fight to protect trapping by becoming a member. I will be traveling To Minn. for the National Convention in Aug. please contact me with any concerns or suggestions that you would like addressed at the Board of Directors meeting. — John Daniel
