Many trappers run dry land traplines by ATV and water traplines by boat. What if you could combine the lines and run them both with the same vehicle?
With the Quadski, a one-person ATV that doubles as a personal water craft, that might be possible.
“Powered by a BMW motorcycle engine that turns the wheels and also drives its waterjet propulsion, the Quadski’s backers say it is capable of 45 miles per hour (70 kmh) on both land and water, with just five seconds required to convert to each role,” according to a Reuters story by Bernie Woodall.
The price might be a bit prohibitive for most trappers though. The Quadskis sell for around $40,000 each, although the developers are hoping to lower that price in the future.
Do you think the Quadski would make the perfect trapline vehicle? How much would you pay for one?
