PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR’S REPORT

The 2010 fur sale was a good sale. The prices were good, and better than some had feared due to the economy. The pelt numbers were way down, but that should help prices for next year. The fur sale summary is posted on the Presidents Report Page on our Web site at utahtrappers.org.

Kevin wants everyone that helped to know how much the officers (and other members) appreciate all the hard work they did. There were just too many to name individually, but you know who you are.

The donated fur/scholarship program did well and will go a long way towards our scholarship program. If you have a family member that qualifies for the scholarship, check on our Web site for updated applications and other information.

It was decided to hold the summer camp out up on Boulder Mountain in the last of June. More details will be coming on this. Get yer shootin’ eye all tuned up. Ronnie Hunt says there will be a place to shoot there.

For me at least, the best part of any UTA function is seeing old friends and making new ones. I didn’t realize what a good storyteller Kent Fowden is. When you get him and Mike Pay together, you better be wearing your waders.

Thanks to those who donated furs for our scholarship fund: Aaron Carter, Gary Slot, Chase Randall, Duane Hunt, Ronnie Hunt, Justin Hunt, Dillon Shepherd, Jason Bailey, Brent Bailey, Sanford Randall, Kent Fowden, Clay Oliverson, Sheldon Randall, Kent Butler and David Bronson.

Thanks again to all those that helped in any way.

— Theron Taylor
