Well everyone the trapping season is coming to a close. I don’t know what all of you think but this season sure has been cold. I can’t go out of my house without having two layers on. Hopefully the cold didn’t affect your trapping and that you were able to have a successful season.
The Fur Sale went great. There was a great turn out of fur. I was very impressed with what everyone brought in. Not to mention how grateful I was for all of the helping hands that make the Fur Sale a success. In next month’s issue I will go over all of the totals along with many other topics.
The UTA had a booth at the SFW convention this past month as well. Don’t worry I will fill you in on all of the details in next month’s article.
For some upcoming events with the UTA. It is an election year. Please vote! I know that time and time again you hear that your vote counts. Well guess what, it’s true. Every member of the UTA will be getting an election ballot sent to them. All you have to do is fill it out and send it in. Its super easy and only takes a few minutes.
Also mark your calendars for Nationals this year. They will be in June at Blackfoot, Idaho. Like years past the UTA will have a booth. Please come and support your fellow trappers.
I just want to remind all of you that if you are having problems with your magazine or with your membership please feel free to give me a call or even e-mail me. I am happy to look into it and get the problem solved. You can reach me at UTA.email@example.com.
On a different note, I want to share with you a trapping story that has happened to me this season. It’s not like most trapping stories you will read in this magazine, but hopefully you will like it. It all started at last year’s convention, I met this boy that seemed like a pretty good catch. We had talked a bit and became great friends, but little did I know what was to come. As the trapping season came and gone along with the summer months and early fall, this boy had trapped me and my heart. The weekend after the convention, this boy made one of the biggest sets of his life. He went out and got some bait that was sparkly, and round, he went out and asked for permission, and then knelt one knee on the ground. This was no catch and release, this one was for keeps. You guessed it folks his catch was me! This was my favorite “trapping” story of the season. So with that being said, in the next few months, you might see my last name change. No need to worry, it’s the same Amber.
Well, I hope you all have a good rest of the trapping season.
Until next time. — Amber
