MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY’S REPORT

VTA Members,

As I am writing this it is 1/25/2013 and it is cold!! Snowing a little today. Hope you’re having a good winter and trapping season. Do not forget the VTA Fur Auction which will be at the Expo Annex in Fishersville on March 9th. I know as of today that a number of you are wondering what happened to your magazines from the T&PC. I have been getting calls an/or e-mails from some of you since I sent in a very large order after the July 2012 Convention. I found out today from the gal I stay in touch with about all T&PC problems, that the order I sent to them on 7/30/2012 was never processed. The check that was enclosed in the order was canceled but the order was never done. So she has told me that everyone on that order will be receiving back issues and a letter and gift as an apology. It was only after I sent her copies of all my backup sheets from that order, that they realized it had not been done. So to all those where on that order, you now know “the rest of the story”. Our membership now totals 496. I have received about 8 new members in the last 2 weeks, but have had several that have expired but not renewed. I sent all our District Directors their district VTA membership list at the end of 2012. If anyone has any problems of any kind, please contact me asap. I cannot fix it, if I do not know. Remember, you need to be a VTA member in order to sell fur at the VTA auction. So if you have not renewed, you can at the sale. See you there. Your membership secretary. — Diana Craig
