The fall convention/annual meeting in New Underwood was fantastic. It was the best attended convention in years. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.

The Henry rifle gun raffle made $1202 after expenses. The Grub Stake raffle made $1039. That’s a combined total of $2241 for our organization.

Member Joe Bowden was recognized as top gun raffle ticket seller, he was presented a Case brand Trapper knife.

Long time member and past director Ron Miller of Rapid City won the Henry rifle. Member Riley Graham of Lusk Wy. won the Fox Pro digital game caller.

Past directors Ron Miller, Steve Iske and Brandon Covel were recognized for their service.

Newly elected directors are:

Shoun (Bummer) Simons of Enning. Bummer is a trapper and fur hunter.

Billy Morrow of Hot Springs. Billy is an avid trapper and hunter.

Brad Tisdall of Box Elder. Brad is a very active houndsman.

I welcome these three gentleman as directors. They are all very active in fur harvesting and will be a great asset to our organization.

Marvin (Tuffy) Halls was re-elected as sec/treasurer for a 2 year term.

Our board of directors voted to hold our 2013 spring convention in New Underwood. The date is May 5th and the city building is reserved.

For you guys trapping public land and right of ways this season remember the regulation change for body grip trap cubbies and baited boxes. The trap is to be recessed a minimum of seven inches.

I hope you are ready to start trapping and have a safe and successful season.

Later. — Larry Bowden
