PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Greeting from Pike County,
The 50th Anniversary 2008 convention went well. The rain Friday night and Saturday hurt the tailgaters, and a lot of the trappers left early because everything got wet.Congratulations to Rick Friedrich and Jack Adams for being inducted into the hall of fame. I presented the hall of fame plaque to Jack Adams’ son Dick Adams. The family was thrilled and said he would have been honored. Thanks to Bob Whitworth, his washer tournament was a big success on Friday night. Thanks to Charlie Delch for a job well done on the gun raffles and to everyone who put on trapping demos. Also thanks to Stan and Doren on their job of putting on convention and setting everything up. If you never showed up, you missed a good one.

Hope you are getting everything ready for the upcoming trapping season. It was great to see the trappers that attended and talking to all of them. Hope everyone has a good trapping season.

Take a kid hunting, fishing and trapping this year. — Bob Wilson

DISTRICT 6 REPORT

Hi everyone. Sorry I have not been writing a report. I will try to do better in the future.

Well, our 50th Fall Rendezvous has come and gone. It was a good Rondy, Stan and his crew did a good job of hosting it. Elaine and I had a great time visiting with all of our friends.

Now it is fall and that means deer and squirrel hunting, then trapping. It is a busy time of year. There will be a lot of people in the woods during deer hunting season so be safe and careful. And take a young kid trapping on your line this year.

That’s all for now. May God Bless. — Paul Webb
