REPORT

The New Hampshire Trappers Association does not meet during the month of November. Hopefully all are busy in the fur shed. Not much to add to last month’s announcements. Just a reminder that the Annual Fund-Raising Banquet will be held February19th, 2011, at the Bektesh Temple located in Concord, NH, at 189 Pembroke Rd. The doors will open at 5 pm for a social hour and the buffet will start at six. Volunteers are needed to assist with the event. If you have interest in helping in any way please contact one of the banquet committee members: Larry Torr 742-7551, or Jack and Ethan Yazinski 542-3367

Donations are needed for the various auctions to be held during the banquet. Sponsors are also needed to help fund this event. Contact a director if you have an item or know of a business, individual or group that would like to become sponsors of this event. Sponsorships come in a few varieties; contact a director for details.

There will only be 150 tickets available for this event. Directors should have them to sell by December 7th.

NHTA’s fur auction will be held this year at the Belknap County Sportsmen’s Club on Lilly Pond Rd in Gilford, NH, in January. The exact weekend for the event is still up in the air. The association will send out a mailer to members when the date has been selected.

A note to members who receive the notice from T&PC in the mail as a reminder each year of the soon-to-expire membership: The form has changed, so please take a few extra minutes to look it over. There are now three copies that need to be forwarded on to Membership Director. Also, there is a new line on the form for an email address. If you wish to provide that, it will be instrumental in the future for notifications.

If you are trapping fisher, please remember that the association is once again collecting donations for the Miss NH jacket that we present each year to the newly crowned pageant winner. We are starting at zero once again and hope that you can set out an extra trap to help us provide the tailor with enough skins so that we won’t have to buy any this year. Thank you again.
Best to all.
